Our goal is to eliminate unnecessary work and increase efficiencies, while building a more collaborative work environment. To achieve this, we are moving to one system, called Kronos, for managing all team members’ job roles and titles, scheduling, and compensation. KRONOS PRODUCTIVITY
Starting this fall, all UMMS team members will have access to a single, standardized productivity system that will provide a consistent way to set targets and measure progress toward goals. This process will create clear expectations between managers and team members–no matter where you work within the System–and create efficiencies that can be reinvested in our workforce and in our patient care.
KRONOS TIME & ATTENDANCE
Knowing exactly what your job title means and understanding what is expected of you is central to a fulfilling work experience. With our new Time & Attendance system, you’ll know exactly what you’re paid–and why. Clearly defined job titles, base pay rates, pay differentials and paid time off policies will help all of our team members work with confidence anywhere within UMMS, and importantly, understand the path for advancement.
KRONOS SCHEDULING
Our work at UMMS is regularly rewarding, sometimes challenging and always worthwhile. With our team members’ wellbeing and our patients’ safety top of mind, we are prioritizing a positive work-life environment across our System. More effective staffing strategies have been shown to improve patient care; reduce preventable readmissions, infection rates and fall rates; minimize the need for overtime; and increase our team members engagement with their work. This new process will standardize and optimize scheduling based on patient need and team member satisfaction, and let you, the team member, have more control over your schedule.
