NEW TEAM MEMBER FAQs
Can I start my job before my team member health appointment?
No. The team member health screening and HR appointments are required before you begin work.
How much time should I plan for the team member health screening and HR appointments?
Most appointments last no longer than two hours, but we ask that you set aside up to three hours for these appointments.
Can I provide documentation from a recent annual check-up from my primary care doctor instead of completing the team member health screening appointment?
No. UMMS requires all team members to complete the UMMS health screening prior to starting work.
I take a prescription that may affect my drug tests results. Will that affect my employment?
We ask that you disclose any prescription that may alter the results of your drug test to prevent a delay in the hiring process.
How quickly after my team member health screening and HR appointment can I start work?
Typically, new team members start work about one week following their new hire appointments.
Do the team member health and HR appointments count as time worked?
No. These appointments are required before you start work and therefore are not considered work time.
