The process of streamlining our System’s HR, Payroll, Financial Management and Supply Chain Management business tools continues to progress on schedule. This adaptation of business management tools is another important step toward our vision of One UMMS, streamlining our processes to produce greater collaboration, enhanced operations and ultimately, higher quality care for the people of Maryland.

STAYING INFORMED

As we continue to transition to the Infor Enterprise Resource Planning system, we want you to have the tools and support you need for a successful transition.

UMMSConnect is your primary resource for all things related to Infor. On UMMSConnect you can find:

WHAT EMPLOYEES CAN EXPECT

Communications: As each member organization moves closer to going live with Infor, communications will include detailed information about what is changing and how to prepare. Communications will come to you in a variety of ways: UMMSConnect, your local Insider, email, webinars, huddle topics and in meetings with local leadership.

Training: Extensive training will be p. rovided throughout the transition to Infor. We will provide training for every employee using the new system, through e-Learning and in the classroom, depending on your roles.

Support: A robust post go-live support model will be in place until operational environments are stabilized to ensure continuity in business processes.

FAQ

UMMSConnect is the new name for the intranet page where links to all business applications can be found. Here you’ll find links for requisition requests, accounts payable, supply chain requests, Kronos and more.

Infor training will use a custom strategy that combines eLearning and in-classroom sessions. All the eLearning and in-class training is tailor-made to meet each employee’s role needs. UMMS U will be used for scheduling and registration. To minimize disruptions to your daily business operations and department schedules, the Infor Program Training Team will work directly with managers to pre-register employees. Your manager will notify you if you are among the employees selected to attend these training sessions.

Training on Infor Financial Management and Supply Chain Management began in January 2020 for the first Go-LIVE  locations. Training for other implementations is being announced as we go.  Check out UMMSConnect on your intranet page for more information about Infor and to access resources such as reference guides, pocket guides, Frequently Asked Questions, and the current Cost Center and Accounting Unit Lookup Tool.

The project team will continue to communicate to the broader UMMS community via email, UMMS Insider and local intranets. UMMSConnect will be the best resource to stay abreast of the latest project news and information.
