Please also be sure to wear your UMMS badge. Your badge will not work on any card readers, doors, or parking lots at UM SJMC. You will be issued a working badge upon check-in.
Parking & Meet-Up
UM ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER is located at 7601 Osler Dr. Towson MD 21204. Once you arrive, please park in the Jordan Staff Garage. Enter the garage from the York Road entrance, use the rightmost lane. At the gate, enter code 1-8-5-6-#. Parking is free.
Enter the Jordan Building and take the elevator or stairs to the basement. Follow the basement tunnel into the hospital. Report to the Command Center on the 1st floor. From the tunnel, turn right and keep going straight until you see a set of elevators. At those elevators, you will see signs directing you to the “UM SJMC COVID Response Command Center.” Please follow those signs. Obtain your assignment and a staff temporary access badge from the Command Center. Please return the badge to the Command Center at the end of your shift.
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to your first shift to allow time to park and find the Incident Command Center. For all subsequent shifts, please arrive 10 minutes prior.
You will be provided with and fit tested for a N95 mask before your first shift. Our Clinical Practical and Professional Development (CPPD) staff will provide you with PPE training and demonstrations during the CPPD Orientation before your first shift. If you have questions or need a replacement while onsite, please don’t hesitate to reach out to someone on your unit.
If you are an hourly team member who needs to clock in, we will direct you to a Kronos clock for pin punching. We will review the pin punching instructions included in your orientation when you arrive.
To ensure we are able to maintain proper social distancing, we ask that you eat any meals in the cafeteria. You are welcome to get food from the cafeteria or bring food with you – microwaves and water dispensers are available.
We also have a Subway onsite which is open from 7:00am-10:00pm. Vending machines are available throughout the hospital, primarily in waiting rooms. Most machines accept credit/debit cards. Should you need cash while onsite, there are two ATMs; one at the main entrance on the ground floor and one on the 1st floor just past the cafeteria and Subway, outside of the Credit Union.
Please accept our sincere gratitude for your willingness to become a part of our team. Do not hesitate to ask if you need help or have any questions! We are all in this together and we want you to feel at home.
If you have questions or need to cancel your shift for some reason, please call the One UMMS Staffing Center at 667-233-5900 during normal business hours (daily, 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.).
