All team members volunteering for a One UMMS shift must complete an orientation that includes general safety and specific job guidelines. Please complete this training before arriving onsite for your first shift. You will only need to do this once, before your first shift. This training applies to all UMMS facilities.

Orientation Materials

E-Learning Module for Non-Clinical Staff – 1 hour

You must complete this e-learning module before arriving for your first shift. The content will cover necessary safety guidelines, demonstrate appropriate safety wear (PPE) application, and role expectations. You can access the training using this link.

If you have additional questions after completing the e-learning module, you can drop in to the Live Question & Answer sessions held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00PM – 4:00PM. You can join the live Q&A using this link.

Orientation Packet

This packet contains critical orientation information that we need each individual to review before working within one of our hospitals.

Kronos Pin Punching Job Aid

Because you may not have badge access in the hospital where you’ve signed up to volunteer, you will be asked to sign into a Kronos click via a pin punch. To do this, you will need your Badge Number, which can be found on the front of your badge. Your Badge Number is different from your Employee ID. If you’re not sure what your Badge Number is, please check with your manager. Because this Kronos pin punching process will vary slightly by hospital, this information will also be reviewed with you onsite.
